Everbloom Paper Flowers

Peony (Felix Crousse)

$185

‘Felix Crousse’ has been one of the benchmark red peonies for well over a century. A French breeder introduced it in 1881, and it has stayed in catalogs and gardens ever since. It’s what growers call a bomb peony: a big, rounded double bloom with broad outer petals wrapped around a dense, crowded middle, the shape that makes people reach for the word “peony.”

This one is built to that anatomy. The paper is hand-dyed before cutting, so the color moves within each petal. Deep magenta shows at the notched outer ring, then lightens through the full middle layers into a hot, saturated pink with a soft wash where each petal catches the light. At the heart is a tight crown of small coral petals, each one pinched and crumpled by hand, which is where the bomb form gets its density. Hand-dyed stem, dark green leaf.

A single stem with enough presence to anchor a table or a bouquet. The real plant is famous for stems that flop under the weight of the bloom, and growers stake it. This one holds its head up on a wired stem, in this exact stage of bloom, indefinitely.

Materials & Making

Every piece is built from premium German and Italian crepe paper — hand-dyed, hand-painted, and shaped petal by petal. Stems are wired throughout, so each piece can be bent, angled, and arranged as you like, and holds its shape once set.

A multi-step protective finish seals the color, adds a subtle luster, and guards against fading and humidity. Because every piece is colored by hand, tones vary slightly from the photograph — no two are identical, and yours will be its own.

Ready to Ship

This piece is finished and waiting. Each is made individually by hand, so yours will closely match — though not perfectly duplicate — the photograph. Allow 3–7 days from the date your order is confirmed with Julia for final inspection, packaging, and dispatch; shipping transit adds approximately 5–7 days.

If your order also includes made-to-order pieces, this piece ships right away rather than waiting — commissioned work follows separately once complete. Each shipment is billed separately for shipping and handling. Prefer a single shipment? Let us know and we’ll hold everything until the full order is ready.

Care & Repairs

Though delicate in appearance, each piece is remarkably durable and may be bent and arranged as needed. Keep out of prolonged direct sun and damp environments, and your piece will hold its color and form for decades. Because every piece is made by hand to order, all sales are final. Should a piece ever be damaged, Julia will repair it whenever repair is possible, for the life of the piece — you cover shipping and handling. Guarantee & Repairs
