Everbloom Paper Flowers

Hydrangea

$225

Hydrangea is the flower that tells you about the ground it grew in. Acidic soil turns the blooms blue, alkaline turns them pink, and the same plant can produce both in different years — which is why gardeners have been amending soil to chase a particular blue for well over a century. What people register as one flower is a whole head of dozens of small four-petaled florets crowded into a dome.

Both heads here are built floret by floret, each one cut and shaped individually before being packed into the dome — the only way to get the density right at this scale. The paper is hand-dyed, so the color varies from floret to floret and even across a single petal: one head worked in a pale ice blue shot through with lilac and green, the other in a fuller turquoise, both the way real hydrangea refuses to be a single flat color. The leaves are dyed with the faint purple bruising that hydrangea foliage takes on as the season goes.

Two blooms on one stem — enough presence for a single tall vase, and generous in a mixed arrangement. It holds this exact blue permanently, without the soil chemistry, and won’t brown at the petal edges the way cut hydrangea does within days.

15 in. tall, 3.5 in. wide at bloom, 9 in. spread

Materials & Making

Every piece is built from premium German and Italian crepe paper — hand-dyed, hand-painted, and shaped petal by petal. Stems are wired throughout, so each piece can be bent, angled, and arranged as you like, and holds its shape once set.

A multi-step protective finish seals the color, adds a subtle luster, and guards against fading and humidity. Because every piece is colored by hand, tones vary slightly from the photograph — no two are identical, and yours will be its own.

Made to Order

Each piece is made by hand after your order is confirmed. Typical preparation times, measured from the date your order is confirmed with Julia: 7–10 days for one to three stems, 10–14 days for four to seven, and 14–21 days for larger commissions. Shipping transit adds approximately 5–7 days. Timelines run longer through the holiday season and the spring wedding months, and your confirmed date will always be stated in writing before you commit.

Working toward a wedding or event date? Include the date in your request and we’ll confirm the full schedule before anything is finalized. Need a piece sooner than the times above? Ask — a compressed timeline can often be arranged.

Prefer a different palette? Most pieces can be made in custom colors — describe what you have in mind, or send a photograph, and Julia will confirm what’s possible with your quote.

Every piece is finished with a tag signed and dated by Julia, nested in tissue, and boxed for safe travel. Preparation & Delivery

Care & Repairs

Though delicate in appearance, each piece is remarkably durable and may be bent and arranged as needed. Keep out of prolonged direct sun and damp environments, and your piece will hold its color and form for decades. Because every piece is made by hand to order, all sales are final.
