Everbloom Paper Flowers

Dahlia (Peacock)

$135.00

There is no peacock dahlia. Dahlias come in nearly every color a flower can manage — but not this one, not iridescent, not shifting from teal to violet to bronze depending on where you stand. This piece takes the cactus dahlia’s form, all those narrow rolled petals radiating out in a full sphere, and gives it a coloring borrowed from somewhere else entirely.

The effect comes from layering rather than a single pigment. Each petal is dyed, then worked with metallic and interference washes that sit at different depths, so the surface reads teal from one angle and deep aubergine from another — the same trick a peacock feather plays with light, achieved with paper and patience. Petals are rolled individually to a point, then built out from a dark bronzed center in graduating lengths. The stem and leaves carry the same treatment in a lower key, blackened green with a dusty sheen.

This is a statement, best displayed where it can be walked past and seen twice. It holds its color and its iridescence indefinitely.

Made to Order

Each piece is made by hand after your order is confirmed. Typical preparation times, measured from the date your order is confirmed with Julia: 7–10 days for one to three stems, 10–14 days for four to seven, and 14–21 days for larger commissions. Shipping transit adds approximately 5–7 days. Timelines run longer through the holiday season and the spring wedding months, and your confirmed date will always be stated in writing before you commit.

Working toward a wedding or event date? Include the date in your request and we’ll confirm the full schedule before anything is finalized. Need a piece sooner than the times above? Ask — a compressed timeline can often be arranged.

Every piece is finished with a tag signed and dated by Julia, nested in tissue, and boxed for safe travel. Preparation & Delivery
